Some people turn to energy drinks instead of coffee. However,a certain variety is now being recalled. Consumption is not recommended.

But what was intended as a harmless pick-me-up can lead to unexpected health problems with a drink that is currently being recalled. The manufacturer’s own inspection revealed that the product contains considerably more of the stimulant active ingredient caffeine then stated on the label caffeine levels, posing potential health risks to consumers.The recall affects the “BW Energy Drink” with a best-by date of December 23, 2025, as reported by wa.de.

The product has been identified as containing dangerously high levels of caffeine, which can lead to a range of adverse health effects. According to the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), excessive caffeine consumption can cause symptoms like insomnia, nervousness, heart palpitations, and digestive issues. In severe cases, it can even lead to more serious cardiovascular problems.
