Rapper ILoveMemphis Arrested Again in Florida Following Alleged Burglaries

Rapper ILoveMemphis, whose real name is Richard Maurice Colbert, was arrested on February 17, 2026, for allegedly committing burglaries and causing a disturbance in Plantation, Florida. This marks the second time the artist has been taken into custody in less than a week.

Details of the Arrest

According to reports from XXL and Entertainer News, Plantation Police responded to reports of a disturbance and found ILoveMemphis using his cellphone and posting on social media. This activity violated the conditions of his pretrial release from a previous arrest on February 10, 2026.

Authorities allege that when confronted by officers, the 32-year-ancient rapper fled and entered several homes through enclosed backyards and patios, leading to the burglary charges. A lockdown was initiated in the area, and Broward Sheriff’s deputies utilized aviation and K-9 units to locate him.

Previous Arrest and Charges

The recent arrest follows an incident on February 10, where ILoveMemphis livestreamed a six-hour standoff with a SWAT team at a Plantation home. During that event, he barricaded himself inside and broadcast the situation on Instagram Live.

Following the standoff, ILoveMemphis was charged with Written Threats to Kill or Injure and Resisting Officers Without Violence. He was released on February 11 after posting a $250 bond, representing 10% of a $2,500 total bond amount.

Current Status

As of February 19, 2026, the extent of the additional charges ILoveMemphis will face in connection with the alleged burglaries remains unknown. The Plantation Police Department has been contacted for comment by XXL.
