Indonesia Announces Provisional Squad for FIFA Series 2026, Injury Concerns Arise

Jakarta – The Indonesian national football team has named a 41-player provisional squad for the upcoming FIFA Series 2026, scheduled to capture place from March 23 to 31 at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta. Head coach John Herdman announced the call-ups on Monday, March 9, 2026 .

Injury Concerns: Miliano Jonathans Ruled Out

Miliano Jonathans is confirmed to be unavailable for the FIFA Series due to an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury sustained while playing for Excelsior in the Eredivisie . He had been considered a potential inclusion in the starting lineup.

Tournament Details

Indonesia will host the FIFA Series 2026, facing Saint Kitts and Nevis on March 27 at 8:00 PM local time. Bulgaria will simultaneously play against the Solomon Islands at 3:30 PM. The winners of these matches will compete in the final on March 30 at 8:00 PM, while the losing teams will contest the third-place match earlier that day at 3:30 PM . This tournament marks the debut of John Herdman as the head coach of the Indonesian national team .
