Indonesia Maintains Semifinal Hopes at 2026 Ruichang China Masters

Indonesia’s athletes continue to vie for a spot in the semifinals of the 2026 Ruichang China Masters, a Super 100 badminton tournament currently underway at the Ruichang Sports Park Gym in Ruichang, China. Competition took place on Friday, March 13, 2026, with several Indonesian players securing their place in the next round.

Men’s Singles Success

Prahdiska Bagas Shujiwo advanced to the semifinals in the men’s singles category after a dominant performance against Choi Ji-hoon of South Korea. Shujiwo won in straight sets, 21-14 and 21-10, securing the top seed.

However, Muhammad Yusuf was unsuccessful in his quarterfinal match, falling to host nation representative Sun Chao with scores of 19-21 and 19-21.

Women’s Doubles Progress

Lanny Tria Mayasari and Apriyani Rahayu continued their strong showing in the women’s doubles competition. They secured a victory against Yun Jung Chang and Lin Yen Yu with a score of 21-15, 21-9 in the round of 32. They then defeated Qin Shi Yang and Zhou Jia Qi in a close match, 26-24, 18-21, 21-18 in the round of 16. Their momentum continued with a quarterfinal win against Hsieh Mi Yen and Yu Chien Hui, 21-9, 21-17.

Tournament Details

The 2026 Ruichang China Masters, the fourth edition of the tournament, offers a total prize pool of US$120,000. It is the eighth tournament of the 2026 BWF World Tour and is organized by the Chinese Badminton Association with sanction from the Badminton World Federation (BWF).

The tournament runs from March 10-15, 2026, at the Ruichang Sports Park Gym in Ruichang, China.
