The third edition of the Infinity Festival launched in Alba, Italy, featuring roughly 90 films designed to explore the intersection of cinema and the search for the divine, according to an Apic report from March 2004.
Festival Scope and International Participation
Conceived by Father Ottavio Fasano, the event runs through April 3 and includes participation from the San Paolo Centre in Alba alongside Nova-T, the Italian Capuchin audiovisual production center founded by Father Fasano 21 years prior. Films hail from countries including France, Italy, the United States, Israel, Peru, China, Japan, Korea, Romania, Chile, Greece, Senegal, Portugal, Cambodia, and Argentina, according to Apic.
Themed Screenings and Discussions
The Italian Episcopal Conference (CEI) is participating in the “Filming the Invisible” congress alongside Enzo Bianchi, a monk who founded and serves as prior of the Bose Community, according to Apic. Additionally, a mini-festival titled “The Hidden God” presents restored classic films by directors Carl Theodor Dreyer, Robert Bresson, Roberto Rossellini, and Andrei Tarkovsky, concluding with a dedicated discussion session.
