Inscribed as a historic monument in 1973 for its facades and roofs, the Château de Cadreils overlooks the neighboring commune of Saint-Martin-de-Goyne. According to Brice Gayet, the estate was originally built by the lords of Berrac de Cadreils, a noble family dating back to the 12th or 13th century. The property features a round tower with walls exceeding 1.2 meters in thickness, pointing to a 15th-century or earlier origin. Additional structures include a typically Gascon square tower and a 17th-century dovecote that was completely restored in 2025, alongside a central gallery inspired by the daughter of the owner of the Château de Laréole.

When the Gayet family purchased the estate in 2003, it functioned as an agricultural holding where the previous occupants lived in just two rooms due to a lack of renovation funds. Brice Gayet noted that the extensive overhaul required rebuilding roofs, laying new floors, installing heating, and excavating filled-in moats. Today, the estate is framed by a garden designed by Anne Gayet.
