Catriona’s first Getaway segment
The 54-year-old’s very first Getaway segment in 1996 was filmed right here in Australia on the Gold Coast.
Even though checking out movie World and Sea World wasn’t exactly what Catriona was expecting.
“I always thought that for my first Getaway story I’d be cycling through France, maybe I’d be sipping a cocktail somewhere looking elegant and stunning,” she told 9Entertainment.

When my farmer asked me to marry him, I didn’t say yes, I went to ask John’s permission. Catriona spoke to Trump about his hotel and tourism empire, but in a 2021 interview with 9Entertainment revealed she was reluctant to talk about meeting him because people didn’t want to hear a positive anecdote.
but it wasn’t just Trump; Catriona has also had the opportunity to interview a diverse range of personalities, including the renowned entrepreneur Richard Branson.
