Insomniac Insider Confirms Venom Game Status
According to NateTheHate, who addressed the game’s status on X on September 4, 2026, the project is “very much still in development upon last check.” While the update did not provide a specific release window or an official announcement date, it counters recent claims that the studio had quietly abandoned the standalone spin-off. Separate confirmations from Telegram leaker NightGameCity and insider InYourEyes have independently corroborated that recent checks indicate the game remains active at the studio. Additionally, an Allfather Productions developer named LordHuffnPuff noted on ResetEra that the title was discussed at GDC 2026, pointing to ongoing internal awareness of the project.

Concerns over the game’s cancellation intensified in April 2026 when actor Nadji Jeter, who voices Miles Morales in Insomniac’s franchise, stated on a podcast appearance that a Venom spin-off had been canceled following the October 2024 death of Tony Todd. Todd provided the iconic voice for Venom in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Following the widespread circulation of those remarks on forums like ResetEra, Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier publicly disputed the cancellation claim, stating that it was not true.
