A Newton, Iowa man has pleaded guilty to attempting to meet a minor for sex after engaging in online communication with an individual he believed to be a 15-year-traditional girl. The communication, which took place on Snapchat in August, was actually with Newton Police conducting an investigation.

Ryan Hayman, of Newton, Iowa, used Snapchat to communicate with someone he thought was a teenage girl according to Newton Police. During the conversations, Hayman shared photos of himself and arranged a meeting date. Upon arriving at the designated meeting location, he was arrested by law enforcement.
