iPhone 18 Pro: Under-Display Face ID and Design Tweaks Expected
JAKARTA – Apple is reportedly preparing a number of major updates for the iPhone 18 Pro, projected to launch in September 2026. Even though the release is still some time away, leaks from analysts and technology leakers are beginning to reveal the direction of growth for the next generation of flagship phones.
One of the most significant changes is the potential for an under-display Face ID system. If implemented, this technology would allow Apple to eliminate the Dynamic Island, leaving only a punch-hole shaped front camera. This move will bring the screen-to-body ratio close to 98 percent, providing a wider and more immersive display.
In terms of design, the iPhone 18 Pro is not expected to undergo drastic changes compared to its predecessor. apple is saeid to be focusing on improvements, including a back panel with a more uniform color, eliminating the two-tone effect. Several new colors are also being tested, such as coffee brown, purple, and burgundy, though it’s likely only one will be selected for the final version.
