Honor 500 Series: A New Challenger with iPhone-Inspired Design and Massive Battery

China’s Honor introduced new 500 series smartphones whose design is strikingly reminiscent of the iPhone Air. The novelties impress with a thickness of only 7.75 millimeters and a typical oval photo module. Even though this is a mid-range device, the manufacturer was not afraid to deploy the parameters that you would look for in flagships. It surprises not only with its appearance, but above all with what has been managed to fit inside.

The apple didn’t fall far from the tree

The appearance of the novelties does not deny the inspiration from the apple world. The aluminum frame, horizontal camera module and soft pastel colors look clean and elegant, which is not a given in the given price category. There will be four color variants to choose from: aquamarine, star pink, lunar silver or obsidian black.

The main attraction is without a doubt a battery with an unbelievable capacity of 8000 mAh. Honor used modern silicon-carbon technology, thanks to which such a portion of energy can fit into a very slim body. Even with heavy traffic, you will get a two-day endurance. Both the standard model and the Pro version handle 80W wired and 27W reverse charging. The more equipped sibling also adds 50W wireless technology.

Inside the phone we find powerful hardware. the basic model relies on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, while the Pro variant has bet on the Snapdragon 8 Elite. This equipment ensures smooth operation of the MagicOS 10 system and demanding games without performance drops. Thanks to the advanced engine for optimizing graphic performance, you won’t have to worry about crashes even during long-term gaming.
