Iranian Attacks Kill Foreign Worker in Israel, Palestinian Women in West Bank

A foreign worker was killed in central Israel and three Palestinian women were killed in the southern West Bank as Iran launched multiple ballistic missile barrages on Wednesday night, March 19, 2026. The attacks mark the first Palestinian deaths attributed to Iranian strikes in the ongoing conflict.

Israeli Casualties and Damage

The foreign worker, a 30-year-old man, was killed by shrapnel in Moshav Adanim, according to the Magen David Adom ambulance service. His name has not yet been released. Earlier on Wednesday, a 44-year-old man and two children, aged 13 and 12, were lightly wounded in Petah Tivka by another Iranian ballistic missile attack. Several sites impacted by cluster munitions were reported in central Israel, with one causing damage to a home.

Footage from one impact site showed the missile carried a cluster bomb warhead. Approximately half of the ballistic missiles launched by Iran at Israel in the current war have carried cluster bomb warheads, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

A couple in their 70s were killed earlier this week by a cluster munition that hit their home in Ramat Gan, Israel. Iran acknowledged firing cluster munitions, stating it was in retaliation for Israel’s killing of top national security official Ali Larijani.

Palestinian Deaths in the West Bank

In the Hebron-area village of Beit Awwa, an apparent cluster munition killed three Palestinian women and wounded 13 people, two critically, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported. The women have been identified as Sahira, Amal, and Mais Masalma, ages 50, 36, and 17, respectively, by WAFA, the Palestinian Authority’s official news agency. Their relationship to each other is currently unknown.

Another cluster munition, potentially from the same missile, struck the Israeli community of Neta, just over the Green Line from Beit Awwa, damaging a home but causing no injuries.

Escalation of Regional Conflict

The attacks come as part of a broader escalation of conflict between Iran and Israel, with the U.S. Also involved. Iran has launched missile and drone attacks across the region in response to the bombing campaign launched by the U.S. And Israel on February 28, 2026, aimed at destabilizing Iran’s leadership and destroying its nuclear and ballistic missile programs.

On March 19, 2026, Israel killed Iran’s intelligence minister, Esmail Khatib, marking the third top Iranian official killed in the last 24 hours, following the deaths of Ali Larijani, and Gen. Gholam Reza Soleimani. The U.S. Forces also “successfully employed multiple 5,000-pound deep penetrator munitions on hardened Iranian missile sites” along the Strait of Hormuz, according to CENTCOM.

Hezbollah Involvement

Iran-backed Hezbollah also launched attacks on Israel on Wednesday, including rockets fired at the Gaza border area – approximately 200 kilometers (124 miles) from Lebanon – for the first time since renewing attacks earlier this month. Sirens also sounded in northern Israel and towns near Beersheba. No injuries were reported from the Hezbollah attacks.

Hezbollah has stated it renewed its attacks in response to Israel’s continued presence and attacks in Lebanon since a ceasefire agreement in November 2024, as well as the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
