Iran vows Retaliation: US Military bases in Middle East Threatened
TEHERAN – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has issued a stark warning to the United States, stating that American military bases in the Middle East will be targeted should Iran be subjected to open aggression. The declaration came during the 17th Al Jazeera Forum in Doha, Qatar, on saturday, according to Press TV reports.
“If the US attacks Iran, we will attack American bases in the region because they are easily accessible targets,” Araghchi stated, underscoring Iran’s readiness to respond to any hostile action.
The Iranian Foreign Minister clarified that any retaliatory strikes would be confined to locations hosting US military presence, explicitly stating that neighboring countries would not be targeted. This assurance aims to limit the scope of potential conflict and prevent regional escalation.
Araghchi further emphasized the full preparedness of the Iranian Armed Forces to deliver a firm response at any given moment. This readiness reflects Iran’s commitment to defending its sovereignty and deterring potential adversaries.
Along with the warning regarding military bases, a senior Iranian diplomat reiterated the nation’s firm stance on its missile program. The diplomat asserted that the program is non-negotiable, characterizing it as a purely defensive measure outside the purview of any ongoing or future negotiations. This position highlights iran’s determination to maintain its defensive capabilities.
