Iranian Kurdish Groups Prepare Cross-Border Operation into Iran Amid US Involvement
Jakarta, Indonesia – Iranian Kurdish opposition groups, based in northern Iraq, are mobilizing for a potential cross-border military operation into Iran, following reports of discussions with United States officials regarding support for such an action. These groups, considered the most organized segment of Iran’s opposition, possess thousands of trained fighters and their involvement could significantly challenge Tehran’s authority and potentially destabilize the region.

Khalil Nadiri, an official from the Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK), stated on Wednesday that elements of their military force had been positioned near the Iranian border in Sulaymaniyah province, awaiting further instructions. “Some of our troops have moved to areas near the Iranian border in Sulaymaniyah province and are on alert,” Nadiri said, according to the Associated Press
