A LUCKY player is celebrating after bagging a top prize in last night’s draw, with players now being urged to check their tickets.
A Carlow punter matched five numbers and the bonus in the main Lotto draw, bagging the €195,118 prize.
The Lotto bosses revealed that the winning ticket was purchased on Wednesday, February 4, at Centra, Unit 2, Lissard House, on the Burrin Road in Carlow.
The winning numbers in last night’s draw were 4, 5, 19, 21, 32, 35, and the bonus was 39.
However, they were a number short of bagging the eye-watering Lotto jackpot worth €8,879,233.
The eye-watering jackpot is set to roll again for the next Lotto draw, increasing the jackpot sum for the next winner if lucky.

They revealed that it is now set to roll towards an estimated €9,200,000.
Sarah Orr, National Lottery spokesperson, said: “While over 99,000 players nationwide won prizes in Saturday’s Lotto and Lotto Plus draws, just one player in Carlow now has a ticket worth an incredible €195,118.
“We are urging all of our players, particularly those in Carlow, to carefully check their tickets today.
“The Match 5 + Bonus winner should sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe.
“They should contact the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prize at Lottery Headquarters.”
Players in Carlow and surrounding areas are advised to double-check their tickets to ensure the numbers match.
MAJOR WINS
In total, over 99,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the Lotto, Plus 1 and Plus 2 games.
20 players matched five numbers in the main draw, bagging a whopping €1,680 each.
There were no winners of the Lotto Plus 1 game with a jackpot prize of €1,000,000.
One lucky player matched five numbers and the bonus, winning a hefty €5,000.
The winning numbers were 6, 12, 32, 36, 40, 44, and the bonus was 13.
There were also no winners of the Plus 2 game jackpot prize of €250,000, the winning numbers drawn were 2, 3, 5, 6, 11, 37, and the bonus was 43.
One player matched five numbers and the bonus, claiming a whopping €2,500.
The Lotto Winning Raffle Number were drawn, with €500 up for grabs for the lucky 94 winners.
The winning number is 9153.
