  • Member Federation’s categorization
  • Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs)
  • Testing processes
  • Reporting procedures

IWF and ITA Collaboration

This webinar is part of the ongoing IWF/ITA Clean Sport Education program, which also includes in-person seminars at major IWF events. The IWF and ITA have been working closely together since 2019, with the ITA overseeing all anti-doping operations on behalf of the IWF [1]. This partnership ensures transparency and reliability in anti-doping efforts.

Continued Commitment to Clean Sport

The IWF and ITA remain committed to protecting clean athletes and promoting integrity in weightlifting. The IWF currently delegates a wide range of anti-doping services to the ITA, including testing, results management, intelligence gathering, and education [2]. Recent sanctions issued by the ITA demonstrate this commitment, with weightlifter Dinh Thi Pham receiving a 2-year ban on March 5, 2026, and Neisi Patricia Dajomes Barrera sanctioned with a 14-month period of ineligibility on February 27, 2026 [2].
