Cormac Izuchukwu Ruled Out of Ulster’s URC Match Against Ospreys with Concussion

Ulster will be without the services of Ireland international Cormac Izuchukwu for their United Rugby Championship (URC) fixture against the Ospreys on Saturday, February 28, 2026, after the forward sustained a concussion during training this week.¹²

The 26-year-classic lock, who recently earned his fourth cap for Ireland against Italy in the Six Nations, is currently following World Rugby’s Graduated Return to Play Protocols.¹ It remains uncertain whether he will be available for Ireland’s upcoming match against Wales on Friday, March 6, 2026.¹²

Ulster Welcomes Back International Players

Despite Izuchukwu’s absence, Ulster head coach Richie Murphy has welcomed back four players from international duty for the match against Ospreys: Nathan Doak, Jude Postlethwaite, Tom Stewart, and Bryn Ward.¹
