Road Rage Shooting Leaves One Dead in Jacksonville

Jacksonville, FL – A man was killed Sunday night in a road rage shooting in the Lake Forest area of Northwest Jacksonville, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO). Investigators are searching for the driver of a small silver SUV in connection with the incident.

Details of the Shooting

Officers responded to reports of a shooting on Edgewood Avenue West around 8:20 p.m. On Sunday. Upon arrival, they found a man in his mid- to late-30s suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene News4JAX.

The Incident

The JSO reports that the shooting stemmed from a road rage confrontation between two drivers. The dispute began on Edgewood Avenue West and continued onto the northbound ramp to I-95, with the silver SUV traveling westbound. Investigation and Search for Suspect

Authorities are currently seeking the driver of the small silver SUV. Sgt.
