Slegers Sets Personal Best at WVU Invitational

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – Senior Janne Slegers recorded the seventh-fastest 200 freestyle time in Rockets history on Friday night at the West Virginia Invitational in Morgantown, W. Va.

Slegers won the event with a time of 1:48.64, surpassing her previous career record.The 800 freestyle relay team of Helena pinto Coelho lopes, Slegers, Tiana Temelkova, and Claire Kemmere secured a seventh-place finish, clocking in at 7:33.97.

the Rocket team of Leah Evans, Grace Henely, Kenzie Robinson, and Helena Pinto Coelho Lopes finished 11th in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:44.90.

Additional top-15 finishes included Grace HenelyS 12th-place time in the 100 breaststroke.Lindsay Luminous, Kalyna pyk, Clarke Doyle, and Sara Linkous placed 14th in the 800 freestyle relay with a time of 7:44.87. temelkova also finished 15th in the 100 freestyle (52.67).
