Luc-la-Primaube’s Jardeco Association Hosts Annual Meeting, Prepares for Garage Sale

The Jardeco association, a dynamic gardening group in Luc-la-Primaube, recently held its annual general meeting on February 1st, 2025. The meeting, attended by a majority of its members, included presentations of the moral and financial assessments, as well as discussions about upcoming projects. Mayor Jean-Philippe Sadoul was present, alongside representatives from the town hall, including Dominique Gombert, First Deputy Mayor and Departmental Councilor, and Christian Delheure, Municipal Councilor.

Association Updates and Elections

During the meeting, François Brossard, the association’s president, led the proceedings. Bernard Soulié presented a review of the association’s activities, highlighting events such as the February 18th, 2024, flea market, participation in the association and senior forum, seed and plant exchanges organized by the city’s library, collective gardening workdays, and the installation of a rainwater collection tank. The association also acknowledged the contributions of Philippe Vayssette and Bernard Guibert.

Following the resignation of the vice-president, a new vice-president was elected, along with a replacement for another member of the association’s office. The association continues to foster a sense of community through “relaxation days” featuring restaurant visits and shared meals in the garden.

Upcoming Garage Sale and Garden Plot Availability

Jardeco is preparing for its next garage sale, scheduled for March 1st at the entertainment room in Luc-la-Primaube. Organizers report a full room of exhibitors from across the department. The gardening team will be on hand early to welcome exhibitors, buyers, and collectors. Doors will open to the public at 8:00 a.m., and a refreshment bar offering drinks, pancakes, and homemade pastries will be available throughout the day.

Local Leadership

Jean-Philippe Sadoul serves as the Mayor of Luc-la-Primaube and is also Vice-President of the Departmental Council and Vice-President of Rodez agglomeration, responsible for economy, urban planning, and employment. A full list of elected officials can be found on the city’s website.
