SEATTLE — The Seattle Seahawks have secured wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba with a four-year, $168.8 million contract extension, featuring $120 million in guaranteed money, according to a person with knowledge of the deal reported by The Associated Press on Monday.
The agreement, which is pending finalization, positions Smith-Njigba as the NFL’s highest-paid wide receiver.
Record-Setting Performance
The 24-year-old Smith-Njigba established a recent Seahawks team record in the 2025 season with 1,793 receiving yards and 119 receptions, earning him the AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year award. As noted by Wikipedia, he also led the league in receiving yards during that season.
