Jay-Z Announces Yankee Stadium Concerts and Roots Picnic Headline Appearance
Hip-hop icon Jay-Z is set to return to the stage with a series of highly anticipated performances this summer. The artist will headline the 2026 Roots Picnic festival and will also perform two consecutive nights at Yankee Stadium in New York City, celebrating the 25th anniversary of his album The Blueprint and the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt.
Yankee Stadium Residency
Jay-Z will perform at Yankee Stadium on Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11, 2026. Tickets are currently available, but are expected to sell quickly given the limited number of performances.
The concerts will honor the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint and the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt, two landmark albums in his discography. July 10 will be dedicated to Reasonable Doubt, while July 11 will celebrate The Blueprint.
Roots Picnic Headline
Prior to his Yankee Stadium performances, Jay-Z will headline the 2026 Roots Picnic in Philadelphia on May 30. This marks his first major performance in nearly a year, following a brief appearance during Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” tour in Paris.
The Roots Picnic appearance also signifies a return to Philadelphia for Jay-Z, who hasn’t performed in the city since the 2017 Made in America festival.
A Return to the Stage
Jay-Z’s last full-length solo tour was in 2017, promoting his 4:44 album. He also toured with Beyoncé in 2018 on the “On the Road II Tour.” His recent appearances have been limited to events like Tom Brady’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2024 and the Grammys in 2023.
The artist briefly changed his name back to “JAŸ-Z” to honor his return, a nod to his early career when he stylized his name in this manner.
