“We got ‘Bron, and what an opportunity that is,” Brown said during the stream, as reported by The Athletic. “Everybody is going to say what they have to say, and the media is going to have a field day all season. But for me, it’s a great chance to improve. I love to learn, so it’s a privilege to be able to do it alongside one of the greatest players of all time, if not the greatest.”
Motivation and Physical Preparation for the New Season
While the media spotlight quickly pivoted to James upon his arrival in Philadelphia, Brown emphasized that the sequence of events has heightened his competitive drive. To prepare for the fast-paced system implemented by the Sixers, Brown revealed that he has altered his physical conditioning. “I need to keep up with Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, and LeBron James this season, so I dropped some weight,” Brown said, as reported by The Athletic. “I feel great, I jump higher, I run faster.”
