Pokljuka,Slovenia – The 19th International NATO and Partner Countries Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) winter Camp recently concluded in Pokljuka,Slovenia,reinforcing interoperability,leadership development,and unity among participating forces. The annual event brought together NCOs from 15 nations, fostering a crucial exchange of standards and professional values.
Participants emphasized the vital role NCOs play in the strength of the NATO alliance. “As NCOs, we are the backbone of our forces, and when we are aligned in standards, leadership, and professional values, we strengthen NATO’s collective defense,” a spokesperson stated.
the sustained involvement of Command Senior Enlisted Leaders throughout the camp was highlighted as a key factor in ensuring alignment with Commander’s Intent and objectives, demonstrating a unified front across the Alliance. This consistent leadership presence reinforced desired outcomes and sent a clear message of solidarity.
Joint Force Command Naples (JFC Naples) underscored its commitment to bolstering interoperability, trust, and readiness among Allied and partner forces through participation in initiatives like the Winter Camp. JFC naples, responsible for planning and executing operations to safeguard peace, security, and the territorial integrity of the Alliance, views the professional development of its NCOs as basic to NATO’s deterrence and defence capabilities.
