Singer-songwriter and actress Joëlle Anne released her CD, titled Le départ, marking a major transition from performing arts education and local teaching into a musical career. Recorded at Studio ATOM in Lucciana, the five-track physical CD and digital EP features original compositions developed over years of writing, according to local media reports from Corsica.
Anne balances her music career with extensive teaching work across Corsica. According to regional profiles, she teaches drama at the Henri-Tomasi Conservatory of Corsica, leads piano and musical comedy classes at the Una Volta Cultural Center in Bastia, and runs singing workshops for the U Teatrinu association. Having earned a musicology degree from the Sorbonne and an acting diploma from the Cours Florent, she relocated to Corsica four years ago following earlier teaching stints in the Basque Country.
The Making of Le départ and Studio Collaboration
The creation of Le départ came together after guitarist Patrick Cesari encouraged Anne to record her songs and perform live. The five-track CD features “Des tonnes de chansons,” “Encore,” “Y’en a qui courent,” “Parfois souvent toujours,” and “Le roi du monde.” Physical copies of the CD also include her early 2026 singles “Elle est belle” and “Sur une île” as bonus tracks.
Production took place at Studio ATOM in Lucciana. According to production credits, Vincenzu Lota handled the drums, arrangements, and sound engineering. Mickaël Serra and Pierre Granier played guitars, Pierre-Paul Pieri provided bass, and Michael D. James served as vocal coach, while Robert Gigou designed the album graphics.
Upcoming Stage Performances and Release Details
Anne is scheduled to perform live on November 20 at the Espace Charles-Rocchi in Biguglia for the Restos du Cœur charity. Alongside digital platform availability, physical CDs are sold during her live performances, offering audiences a mix of acoustic and orchestral arrangements.
