Technical wrestler Jonathan Gresham returns to the Victory Ring promotion this Saturday, July 25, at the Colisée Desjardins in Victoriaville. Following a successful debut against Stu Grayson in May, Gresham headlines the Ultra 26 event in a featured match against Mance Warner, a contest promoted as a clash between high-level technical skill and a brawling style.
A Strategic Expansion for Victory Ring
Jonathan Gresham, who held the 10th spot on the Pro Wrestling Illustrated Top 500 list in 2022, joined the Quebec-based promotion after being invited by organizer Nicolas Jalbert. According to Jalbert, the collaboration began after Gresham reviewed footage of previous Victory Ring events. Since his May 23 victory over Stu Grayson in Warwick, the promotion has seen increased interest from fans, which Jalbert attributes to the professional integration of high-profile independent talent.
Styles Collide in the Main Event
The headline bout for Ultra 26 features a stylistic contrast between Gresham and Mance Warner. Warner, known by the moniker “The Southern Psycho,” has previously competed for organizations including Major League Wrestling (MLW), Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), and Ring of Honor (ROH). Victory Ring promotional materials describe Warner’s style as “brutal, unpredictable and uncompromising,” contrasting with Gresham’s focus on technical control.
Balancing International Stars and Local Talent
Victory Ring aims to build on the momentum of last year’s attendance, which reached 650 spectators at the same venue. Nicolas Jalbert stated that the promotion intends to balance the inclusion of international independent stars with the development of local Quebec and Ontario talent.
The card for Saturday’s event also includes appearances by Steph De Lander, formerly of TNA, and Simon Gotch, a veteran of WWE. Additionally, the promotion plans to feature the luchador Toxin, who competes in the AAA organization.

Jalbert noted that the promotion’s growth strategy remains focused on high-quality production, including the distribution of event footage via YouTube. While the organization plans to continue hosting recognized international wrestlers, Jalbert emphasized that the long-term sustainability of the promotion relies on showcasing local talent and maintaining the positive reception from the regional fan base.
