Judith Dada: From La Famiglia and General Catalyst to Visionaries Club
Judith Dada has joined Berlin- and London-based venture capital firm Visionaries Club as a General Partner, reuniting with former colleague Rob Lacher. This move follows her departure from General Catalyst, which had previously merged with La Famiglia in 2023.
Early Career and La Famiglia
Dada began her venture capital career at La Famiglia, a Germany-based early-stage investor. She was brought on to La Famiglia in 2017 by Lacher and Jeannette zu Fürstenberg and continued working with them managing La Famiglia’s first fund, which included investments in companies like Personio and Deel .
Move to General Catalyst and Subsequent Departure
Following the merger of La Famiglia with US megafund General Catalyst in 2024, Dada became a Partner at General Catalyst. Although, she left the firm in the summer of 2025, seeking a more boutique venture capital experience. “I was ultimately really looking for something that is more boutique [rather than] a really, really big firm. I was really craving more of this boutique element and approach to VC,” Dada stated .
Joining Visionaries Club
Dada’s arrival at Visionaries Club marks a return to a more focused and collaborative environment. She will be leading Visionaries’ software and B2B funds alongside Rob Lacher. Visionaries also has a deeptech-focused fund, Visionaries Tomorrow, led by Sebastian Pollok, which is currently fundraising .
The partnership structure at Visionaries Club is described as equitable, with Dada considered an equal partner to Lacher .
Visionaries Club: A “La Famiglia 2.0”
Both Dada and Lacher characterize Visionaries Club as a continuation of the spirit of La Famiglia. Dada notes the “similar” DNA between the two firms, stating that Visionaries feels “very familiar” . Many of Visionaries’ Limited Partners (LPs) are founders themselves, including Hanno Renner of Personio, Dominik Richter of HelloFresh, and Daniel Dine of UiPath .
Current and Future Fundraising
Visionaries Club is not currently fundraising, but Lacher indicated that preparations for a fresh fund are likely to begin in early or mid-2026 .
Judith Dada’s Background
Prior to her venture capital roles, Dada held positions at Facebook, managing product and marketing strategy for Amazon Europe and Facebook’s VC Initiative . She focuses on enterprise and AI-driven business models, with a portfolio that includes companies like Personio, Parloa, Orbem, Buynomics, and Ethon and . She also holds a connection with the University of Oxford .
