Jūrmala Arts and Culture Calendar: March 2026 Events

Jūrmala, Latvia, offers a diverse range of cultural events in March 2026, from opera and classical music performances to theatrical productions, art exhibitions, and family-friendly activities. Digital skills workshops are also available at local libraries throughout the month.

Concerts at Dzintari Concert Hall

The Dzintari Concert Hall is hosting a series of performances throughout March. On March 14th at 6:00 PM, the Small Hall will feature “Masterpieces of Opera Music of the World,” performed by Viktorija Majore (soprano), Laura Grecka (mezzo-soprano), Juris Jope (tenor), Edgars Ošleja (bass), and Veronika Rinkule (piano). Dzintari Concert Hall. Ainars Mielavs will perform on March 15th at 5:00 PM, also in the Small Hall. Dzintari Concert Hall.

On March 20th at 7:00 PM, the Riga Dome Boys’ Choir, led by Mārtiņš Klišānas, will present “Mother and Son” with soloists Ilze Grēvele-Skaraine (soprano) and Ieva Parša (viola). Dzintari Concert Hall. Marija Naumova will perform her concert “Love Song” on March 21st at 7:00 PM in the Small Hall. Dzintari Concert Hall. The contemporary Libyan project “Kuolm randõ/Three shores” will be presented on March 22nd at 2:00 PM as part of the “Holiday Music” cycle. Dzintari Concert Hall. Other Concerts

On March 18th at 6:00 PM, a concert featuring teachers of the Jūrmala Music High School, titled “Radot und dodot,” will be held in the Double Concert Hall (Strēlnieku prospect 30).

Theater and Film

The Kauguru Culture House (Raiņa street 110) will screen the 2025 documentary film “All birds sing beautifully” on March 14th at 1:00 PM. Tickets are available one hour before the screening. The Jūrmala Theater (Muižas street 7) will host a puppet show, “Two Little Penguins,” for families with children on March 15th at 12:00 PM. Puppets and direction are by Inguna Radziņa. Art Exhibitions

Several art exhibitions are on display throughout Jūrmala. At Aspasia’s House (Z. Meierovica prospect 18/20), Anton Vaivodas’s exhibition “Zone of Silence” opens on March 18th at 4:00 PM. Sniedze Prauliņa will perform a concert dedicated to Aspazija’s birthday, “Vējrozītes,” on March 19th at 6:00 PM; advance application is required: https://ej.uz/bu1q. The Jurmala Museum (Tirgoņu iela 29) features the works of artist Juris Petraškēvičs (“Noberzumi”) and the audiovisual room “Holidaymaker on the way to Jurmala,” as well as the exhibition “A doctor in a resort in the 19th century.”

Additional exhibitions include Dzintara Adieņš’s personal exhibition “Half of a hundred” at the Bulduri Exhibition House (Muižas street 6), Dita Luse’s “Shelter in the sun” (until March 14th) at Aspasia’s House, and Aleksey Naumov’s “My Paris” at the Jurmala Cultural Space and Environmental Design Center (Pils Street 1). Jānis Mitrēvics’s “L elle” is on display at Art station Dubulti (4 Z. Meierovica Prospekt), and Gita Sprince’s photo exhibition “Confluence” is at the summer house of Raina and Aspazija (Pliekšana street 5/7) until March 21st (entrance fee applies).

The exhibition “Spring Behind the Window” by Rita Uljanova can be viewed at the Jurmala Culture Center (Jomas Street 35), while Daina Burves’s photo exhibition “Eyes wide open” is on display at the Kauguru Culture House (Raiņa street 110) until March 14th, followed by Dinija Medne’s solo exhibition “Spring of Dreams” on March 20th. Exhibitions of student function can be found at the exhibition hall of Jurmala Art School (Strēlnieku prospekt 30) and the Jurmala Central Library (Strēlnieku prospekt 30).

Digital Week and Library Events

From March 16th to 20th, Jūrmala Central Library (Strēlnieku prospect 30) will host “Digital Week,” offering individual e-skills consultations (appointment by phone 29332947), a practical lesson for adults (“Improve your e-skills!”) on March 17th at 5:00 PM, and a lesson on internet finance and fraud on March 20th at 1:00 PM. Creative lessons for children (“Saturday near Úpiš”) and a photo orientation game (“Mission: Digital Detective”) are also scheduled. Similar Digital Week events, including consultations on e-signatures and internet employ, will be held at the Kauguru, Bulduri, Ķemeru, and Albert Cronenberg Sloka libraries. The Ķemeru library will also host a meeting with writer Ilzi Pastori on March 17th at 12:00 PM.

Cultural Tourism Route

The “Catch Ziedoni” cultural tourism route invites visitors to explore locations associated with the poet Imantas Ziedonis in Jūrmala and surrounding areas. The 111-kilometer circular route includes 17 stops. More information.
