K-Beauty Sunscreen Brands Achieve Over 100 Million Units in Cumulative Sales

Cumulative sales of sun care products jointly developed by Kolmar Korea and Goodai Global have surpassed 100 million units over the past five years, demonstrating the growing global demand for Korean beauty (K-beauty) innovations. This equates to approximately one unit sold every 1.6 seconds.

Global Recognition for Key Products

Several products have driven this success, including Beauty of Joseon’s “Clear Rice Sun Cream,” which achieved the top ranking in the sunscreen category during Amazon’s Black Friday sale in the United States. Kolmar Korea notes this product was instrumental in opening doors to the global market and signaling the beginning of the K-beauty boom.

Round Lab’s “Birch Moisture Sunscreen” received recognition in the U.S. When it was named one of the “Best Sunscreens” by NBC in 2025. Skin1004’s suncare lines are also experiencing significant sales growth due to their innovative formulations and effectiveness.

Kolmar Korea and Goodai Global: A Successful Partnership

The success of these brands exemplifies the effectiveness of Kolmar Korea’s Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) system, a model pioneered in Korea. This collaboration allows brands, even those without their own production facilities, to create globally successful products by combining trend analysis and marketing expertise with Kolmar Korea’s technological capabilities. Goodai Global’s rapid growth is a testament to this partnership.
