A 22-year-old patron at PinPin nightclub in Oslo discovered a mobile phone mounted in the ceiling recording video above a urinal on Friday evening, according to a report by VG. Kai Sigurd Hushagen, who visited the Hegdehaugsveien venue with his girlfriend and another couple, noticed the device while using the restroom and immediately alerted management. The discovery occurred shortly after Hushagen walked into the men’s restroom at the Oslo nightclub. “I went to the nearest available urinal. As I stood doing my business, I had a strange feeling. I felt like someone was watching me,” Hushagen told VG. Looking up, he spotted a phone protruding from the ceiling tiles. He quickly filmed the device with his own phone before leaving to warn his companions, who reacted with shock and disgust.

Following the discovery, Hushagen and a club employee returned to the restroom to retrieve the device. Using a chair, the employee reached the ceiling and removed the phone. Hushagen inspected the device, reported that it was actively recording, and stopped the recording before handing it over to staff.
PinPin management verified the account and condemned the incident. Elin Georgsson, the daily manager at PinPin, stated that the venue takes the situation with the utmost seriousness. “We take the incident very seriously, and fully understand that guests find this unpleasant. Our guests should be able to feel safe. We are now working to get an overview of what has happened, and will simultaneously report the incident to the police,” Georgsson wrote in an email to VG.
