Kansas State Football Adds Transfer Cornerback Will Patterson
Kansas State has added Will Patterson, a cornerback from Pearl River Community College, to their roster for the 2026 season. Patterson, who redshirted in 2023 and played for the Wildcats in 2024, is expected to compete for a starting role in his final year of eligibility.
In 2024, Patterson played 590 total snaps, with 491 coming from the wide corner position and 56 from the slot. He continued to primarily line up at wide corner in 2025, playing 193 of his 227 snaps there, with 15 snaps in the slot. During his time on the field, he recorded 31 total tackles, one forced fumble, and two pass breakups.ESPN provides further details on his player profile.
The addition of Patterson bolsters a cornerback room that already includes Zashon Rich and Donovan McIntosh. While those two are set to return, Patterson is expected to contend for a starting position, while another transfer, keionte Davila, is projected to contribute primarily in the slot.
