The crime wave unfolded between July 26 and September 21, 2024. During this period, North entered 15 separate convenience stores carrying a firearm. He pointed the weapon directly at 21 distinct victims while demanding cash from the registers.
The spree came to an end during the final robbery on September 21, 2024. North stole a cash drawer from the targeted business, unaware that it contained an active cash tracker. Kansas City, Missouri Police Department officers quickly located his vehicle and attempted a traffic stop by activating their emergency lights and sirens.
Police Disable Vehicle and Arrest North After Chase
North refused to pull over, prompting a police pursuit. Officers deployed stop sticks, which successfully disabled North’s vehicle. He immediately exited from the driver’s door and attempted to flee on foot, but officers arrested him following a brief chase.

Two days after the arrest, investigators searched the pursuit area for evidence thrown from the vehicle. They discovered that the University of Missouri – Kansas City Police Department had already recovered the firearm used in the robberies. A citizen walking their dogs found the weapon and turned it in to law enforcement.
