Coronation Street alumna Katy Cavanagh proudly accompanied her son, Jacobi Jupe, to the 32nd Annual Actor Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday evening. The event, formerly known as the SAG Awards, rebranded this year to emphasize its focus on celebrating performers.

Cavanagh, known for her role as Julie Carp on the ITV soap, showcased a glamorous look in a black sequined gown, complemented by emerald earrings and a striking red lip. Twelve-year-ancient Jacobi Jupe, a rising star himself, opted for a dapper ensemble featuring a gold sequined blazer and smart black trousers.

Jacobi Jupe is gaining recognition for his role as Hamnet in Chloé Zhao’s film Hamnet, earning him the Astra Film Award for Best Young Performer. He also received nominations for the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Young Performer and the Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Association Award for Best Breakthrough Performance. He is also known for his roles in Disney+’s Peter Pan & Wendy and the Apple TV+ miniseries Before.

The Actor Awards 2026: A Night for Performers

Hosted by Kristen Bell for the third time, The Actor Awards celebrated excellence in film and television across 28 categories. The ceremony, now streaming on Netflix, recognizes achievements in film, television, and limited series. One Battle After Another led the nominations with seven, followed by Sinners with five.
