The criticism prompted Osbourne to address the hurtful remarks on her Instagram Stories, expressing her distress and defending herself against what she called “dehumanizing” attacks.
A Difficult Time for Osbourne
Osbourne stated that she is “currently going through the hardest time of my life” and felt compelled to speak out against the cruelty she experienced. She specifically addressed comments that questioned her health and appearance, including one particularly harsh message that suggested she looked “like a corpse” and was “going to see her father soon.”
“There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something,” Osbourne wrote. “Kicking me while I’m down, doubting my pain, spreading my struggles as gossip and turning your back when I need support and love most.” She further emphasized, “None of it proves strength; it only reveals a profound absence of compassion and character. I won’t sit here and allow myself to be dehumanized in such a way!”
Lifetime Achievement Award and Family Tribute
The 2026 BRIT Awards celebrated Ozzy Osbourne’s enduring legacy with a Lifetime Achievement award. Sharon and Kelly Osbourne accepted the honor on his behalf at the ceremony held on February 28th at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester, England. The event also featured an all-star tribute performance replicating one of Ozzy Osbourne’s signature songs.
During their acceptance speech, Sharon Osbourne exuberantly remarked, “What a fucking great evening it’s been!” She highlighted the unifying power of music, stating that everyone in attendance was connected through their shared love of it.
