Kelsey Parker, the widow of The Wanted singer Tom Parker, is opening up about navigating life after loss and her hopes for the future. In a recent appearance on the podcast Mum’s The Word! with Georgia Jones, Parker discussed the profound grief following the stillbirth of her son, Phoenix, last year, and her desire to expand her family in 2026.She shares her journey of healing alongside raising her children, Aurelia and bodhi, and her new relationship with tree climber Will Lindsay.
A Year of Emergency and Finding Peace
Parker described the past year as feeling like a constant state of emergency, carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders. She emphasized the importance of taking time for herself to process her emotions and find moments of peace. “Sometimes I just need peace, I need space to breathe so that my thoughts can sort themselves out,” she shared on the podcast.
Continuing a Legacy of Support
Despite her personal struggles, Parker remains dedicated to charitable work, notably in the areas of grief support and brain tumor research – causes close to her heart following her husband’s battle with brain cancer. She recently honored Phoenix’s memory by adding his name to a memorial bench dedicated to Tom, demonstrating her commitment to keeping his son’s memory alive.
Hope for the Future and a Desire for Another Child
Parker has been open about her desire to become a mother again. She previously spoke about this in a podcast three months ago, stating, “The loss has not weakened my desire, but rather strengthened it.” Her partner, Will Lindsay, shares this desire, and the couple are building a close relationship with Aurelia and Bodhi. Parker expressed excitement about the possibility of welcoming another child this year, stating, “I’m thinking about continuing down the path of, ‘is there a baby for me this year?’ – I could get one this year, which is exciting.”
Reflecting on Past Secrecy
Parker also shared her regret over keeping her previous pregnancy a secret, fearing judgment. She now recognizes that these concerns were unfounded, especially considering her recent loss. “I thoght people would be judgmental as I had a baby with another man. Now, after the loss, I understand how little that matters and regret that I held back so much,” she confessed.
Acknowledging Grief and the Importance of Self-Care
Throughout her journey, Parker has emphasized the importance of acknowledging grief and allowing oneself to feel the full range of emotions. She reminds others that “It’s okay not to be okay,” and prioritizes self-care as a vital part of her healing process.
