Dallas, Texas native, Kenneth Horner Jr., is making waves in the equestrian world, demonstrating exceptional talent across multiple disciplines. Whereas currently a freshman at The Ohio State University (2024-25) and not competing for the Buckeyes, Horner has already established himself as a champion in both Western and reining competitions.
Early Successes and Championships
Horner’s impressive resume includes several prestigious accolades. In 2024, he was crowned the APHA World Championship Present L1-L4 Nonpro Derby Champion. He is also a two-time AQHyA L3 Bronze World Champion (2022 and 2024) and an AQHyA L2 Bronze World Champion in 2021.
Reining Prowess
Horner’s skills extend to reining, where he achieved a Top 3 finish in the NRHA Derby Nonpro Derby L1 and a Top 10 finish in the NRHA Derby L2, both in 2024.
