MADISONVILLE, Ky. (February 10, 2026) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 2 announced results from a series of heightened enforcement efforts conducted throughout Super Bowl weekend, demonstrating a commitment to roadway safety.
During the enforcement period, troopers issued a total of 232 citations. Eight individuals were arrested for driving under the influence, and nine arrests were made related to drug offenses. Additionally, officers served 14 outstanding warrants and responded to 38 calls for service.
A traffic safety checkpoint held on February 8, 2026, on KY-115 near the Christian County state line yielded notable results. Approximately 65 vehicle inspections were performed, leading to 23 total charges and offenses. Four of these were drug-related, and four impaired drivers were apprehended at the checkpoint. Supporting law enforcement agencies contributed to the effort by issuing additional citations and arresting two further impaired drivers.
