Kim Jang-hoon confessed to growing up without a father figure, believing his father was deceased for much of his life. He revealed he only spoke to his father once, a circumstance that contributed to a lonely and difficult childhood. Kim Jang-hoon described a daily struggle with violence, recounting instances of being outnumbered in fights, including a harrowing situation involving 20 people against just two. He emphasized the danger of this period, sharing a particularly unsettling memory of seeing a body floating in the Han River while attempting to avoid a confrontation.

Despite these hardships, Kim Jang-hoon found solace and purpose in music. He debuted in 1991 with the hit song “Always Between Us” and achieved widespread recognition as a “national singer,” celebrating his 34th anniversary in the industry. Having overcome past pain and despair, he now works as a performance director and is known for his philanthropic efforts, earning the title of a “donating angel” for his contributions to the public good.
