King Charles III Fully Supports Arrest Of Ex-Prince Andrew Amid Epstein Ties

King Charles III has publicly stated his full support for the police investigation into his brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, following the latter’s arrest in connection with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew was arrested Thursday by British police at his home in England on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

The former royal has faced intense scrutiny due to his long-standing association with Epstein, who died by suicide in his Manhattan jail cell in 2019 whereas awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges.

King Charles issued a statement expressing his “deepest concern” after learning of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest. He affirmed that a “full, fair and proper process” will be followed as the issue is investigated by the appropriate authorities.

Charles also pledged his “wholehearted support and co-operation” to the authorities, adding that he would refrain from further comment while the investigation is underway.

In October 2025, Charles stripped Andrew of his royal titles following public outcry over his ties to Epstein.

The family of Virginia Giuffre, who first accused Andrew of sexual assault and died by suicide last year, welcomed the arrest. They told CBS News, “At last, today, our broken hearts have been lifted at the news that no one is above the law, not even royalty.” They further expressed their gratitude to the Thames Valley Police for their investigation and the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

Thames Valley Police confirmed the arrest of a man in his sixties from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office, and stated that searches were being conducted at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk. NBC News
