British actor Luke Dale, known for his role as Jan Ptáček in the Kingdom Come: Deliverance series, opened a medieval-themed pub called Nobleman in Prague’s Vinohrady district on October 1. Dale, who says “Czechia is already my home,” described the establishment as a “love letter to Prague” and a way to thank the country for much of what he has today.

Six million copies of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II drive tourism

The opening of Nobleman follows the massive commercial success of the Kingdom Come franchise.

Players from around the world have traveled to visit castles and forts featured in the games. The first title drew crowds to the Posázaví region, including Stříbrná Skalice and the Sázava Monastery. The second game increased visitors to Trosky Castle and Kutná Hora. In August, thousands of fans gathered for the Kingdom Come: Deliverance Fanfest at the Malešov fortress, featuring sword fighting and dice tournaments.

Nobleman blends British pub style with Czech history

Located at Chorvatská 17, Nobleman is designed to avoid the clichés of tourist-centric medieval taverns. While the interior features medieval tapestries, weapons, and a parchment decree, CzechCrunch reports that the atmosphere mirrors a traditional British pub with dark wood and stools. The decor includes a triptych of Trosky Castle as an “easter egg” for fans, and the pub is inspired by locations where nobility once gathered to socialize and intrigue.

The beverage and food selection reflects this dual identity. The pub serves Czech Pilsner and Únětice beer alongside Thatchers cider and luxury Scotch whiskies. The menu includes traditional Czech svíčková (sirloin in cream sauce) and roasted legs, with plans to add classic English Sunday roasts, as reported by CzechCrunch.

Dale opens pub to promote real world connection

Dale, who is also a successful Twitch streamer, stated to Seznam Zprávy that the pub is intended to combat the dangers of spending excessive time online. He aims to provide a space where people can connect in the real world and talk face-to-face. Despite the attraction for gamers, Dale told CzechCrunch that the business is not specifically a “KCD pub” and that he will not be behind the bar every day, as the goal is to create a genuine local community spot rather than a celebrity attraction. He noted that while some actors may feel differently, he does not mind that many people equate him with Jan Ptáček, a character who has gained popularity potentially exceeding that of the main hero, Jindřich.

Fan-led expansions and upcoming events

The community surrounding the game continues to expand through unofficial projects. Games.tiscali.cz reports the launch of “Kingdoms Connected,” an open beta multiplayer modification for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II available via NexusMods. This mod introduces local chat, trading, and roleplay commands, though it currently lacks functioning quests. The developers aim to turn it into a community platform allowing for private servers and new game modes.

Beyond digital mods, a large-scale live-action role-playing (LARP) event titled “The Wedding of Jan Ptáček of Pirkštejn and Jitka of Kunštát” is planned for 2027. The event will take place at the Malešov fortress on April 2–4 and April 9–11, 2027. According to Games.tiscali.cz, the first two runs of the event are already fully booked. The event focuses on a 15th-century noble wedding inspired by actual events from 1403.
