Epic Games launched a major crossover on April 17, bringing Square Enix’s acclaimed Kingdom Hearts franchise into Fortnite with new character skins, themed weapons, and specialized match mechanics.
Character Skins and Item Shop Prices
The collaboration introduces four central protagonists from the franchise into the Battle Royale’s Gaming Legends series, complete with LEGO Fortnite compatible styles. Sora arrives with his Kingdom Hearts II look alongside alternative visual styles inspired by the first and third games in the series, priced at 1,800 V-Bucks individually.
Each character package includes matching cosmetic gear tied to their canonical lore. Riku comes equipped with the Soul Eater, Kairi wields the Destiny’s Embrace, and Roxas features both the Oathkeeper and Oblivion Keyblades. For players seeking the complete collection, the Kingdom Hearts Bundle is available in the Item Shop for 4,500 V-Bucks.
Keyblades and Gameplay Modifications
Beyond cosmetic adjustments, the partnership directly alters active matches. Additionally, the Sea Salt Ice Cream functions as a consumable healing item that restores both player health and shields during matches.
The crossover integrates tightly with the current Chapter 7 Season 4 theme, titled Override.
Additional Cosmetics and Soundtrack Additions
The collaboration also expands the game’s audio and vehicle customization options. Players can purchase Jam Tracks featuring classic compositions from the series, including “Dearly Beloved” and “The Other Promise,” for 500 V-Bucks each. Other available cosmetics include the Gummi Ship vehicle, Heartless wheels, the Lil’ Gummi Ship emote, and Dark Sneakers, broadening the crossover’s footprint across the digital landscape.
