Kings Of Leon, neil Young & The Lumineers To Headline New UK Music & BBQ Festival, State Fayre
A new festival called State Fayre is launching in the UK next summer, boasting headline sets from Kings Of Leon, Neil Young and The Lumineers.
Running between June 26 and 28 at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex, the event is branded as the UK’s largest music and barbecue festival. Designed to celebrate rock, country and folk, the inaugural edition will bring “a true taste of Americana” to the UK, drawing inspiration from American state fairs, long summer nights and tailgate parties.
Kings Of Leon, recognised as one of the biggest choice rock bands of the last 20 years and fresh off the release of their latest album ‘Can We Please Have Fun’, will top the bill on the first night.
Folk legend Neil Young and his band The Chrome Hearts will headline the second night, continuing their ‘Love Earth World’ tour following recent mammoth sets at BST Hyde Park and Glastonbury.
the Lumineers will close out the festival, having been handpicked by organisers as “one of the most prosperous and influential bands of their generation, blending alternative rock, Americana, and heartfelt storytelling”. This follows the release of their new album ‘Automatic’ earlier this year.
Other acts on the bill for State Fayre 2026 include The Black Crowes, Elvis Costello & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton, Counting Crows, Amble, Kingfishr, and Dyl.
Neil Young & Kings of Leon to Headline Latitude Festival 2025
Neil young and Kings of Leon have been announced as headliners for the 2025 Latitude Festival, taking place in Henham Park, Suffolk from July 24-27. This marks a critically important appearance for both acts, adding to the festival’s already impressive lineup.
Neil Young’s inclusion follows a critically acclaimed headline set at Glastonbury 2023, which earned a four-star review from NME, who described it as “a headline set that proves that sometimes, there’s still power to be found in an old-school approach.” The review highlighted the power of Young’s songwriting and the set’s minimalist approach.
Recently, the music icon announced a 50th-anniversary re-release of his 1975 album Tonight’s The Night and made headlines by removing his music from Amazon Music, citing concerns about audio quality and artist compensation.
Kings of Leon are also set to embark on a UK tour in 2026, details of which were recently confirmed. The band has also teased a forthcoming Christmas song, hinting at a perhaps festive addition to their repertoire.
