Bodo/Glimt Coach Knutsen Eager to See Benfica’s Schjelderup

Bodo/Glimt coach Kjetil Knutsen has expressed his desire to meet Benfica winger Andreas Schjelderup when the Norwegian side visits Sporting Lisbon next week for the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie.

Knutsen Praises Schjelderup’s Potential

Following Bodo/Glimt’s impressive 3-0 victory over Sporting in the first leg, Knutsen lauded Schjelderup’s talent. “We are following him. This city is not very big, we understand it well. He’s going to be a fantastic player and he’s playing for a good team,” Knutsen stated to A Bola. He added, “We hope to see you next week.”

Schjelderup’s Connection to Bodo/Glimt

Schjelderup, who hails from Bodo, acknowledged his anticipation for the visit, stating he would be happy to greet friends from the club. “It’s incredible. My house is 100 meters from the stadium, so it’s special for me to see them play. They are doing a very special job there, with Knutsen as coach. They are doing something really extraordinary. I am very happy for them and I am supporting them. Maybe I will greet some players when they come to Lisbon, because they are very good friends,” O Jogo reported.
