The Veterans Medical Service Innovation Task Force
The “Veterans Medical Service Innovation Task Force (TF)” is a collaborative effort involving the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, the Korea Veterans Health Service (KVHS), and six veterans hospitals: Central, Busan, Daegu, Daejeon, Gwangju, and Incheon. The task force held its inaugural meeting at the Sejong Government Complex on March 20, 2026.
Task Force Composition and Leadership
The TF is headed by the Director General of Veterans Medical Welfare Bureau at the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs. Key participants include the Director of Veterans Medical Policy Division, department heads from the KVHS, and Planning and Coordination Office directors from each of the six veterans hospitals.

The task force will operate as an action-oriented body, convening bi-weekly to prioritize improvements to internal regulations and operational procedures. The goal is to ensure uninterrupted medical care, enhance service quality, and reduce unnecessary administrative burdens.
