But, Jeju Island will experience cloudier conditions and a chance of less than 5 mm of rain from the afternoon to evening due to a low-pressure system passing over the southern seas.
Sunday’s temperatures will range from -2 to 8 degrees Celsius in the morning and 13 to 18 degrees Celsius during the day.
Safety Concerns
The eastern coast of Gangwon and Gyeongbuk provinces are expected to become drier, increasing the risk of fire. Strong winds are similarly anticipated, requiring extra caution. High waves are expected along the east coast until March 21st, potentially impacting seaside rocks and coastal roads. The Meteorological Administration advises caution to prevent accidents. Yonhap News TV reports on these conditions.
Spring Bloom
The vernal equinox, also known as “chunbun” in Korean, marks a time of seasonal change. Apricot flowers are currently in full bloom at Kyungnam University’s Wolyeong Campus in Masan Happo-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, signaling the arrival of spring. Yonhap News Agency captured images of the blooming flowers on March 18, 2025.
