Ketua KPAI Margaret Aliyatul Maimunah Dies

Jakarta – Margaret Aliyatul Maimunah, Chairman of the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI), passed away at Fatmawati Hospital in Jakarta on Sunday, March 1, 2026.

The news was confirmed by KPAI Commissioner Aris Adi Leksono to Tirto.id, stating she died around 8:25 WIB (Western Indonesian Time). Source

Aliyatul Maimunah also served as the General Chair of the PP Fatayat NU (Nahdlatul Ulama’s women’s wing). Source She was appointed as Chairman of KPAI for the second half of the 2022-2027 period on August 25, 2025, replacing Ai Maryati Solihah. Source

Funeral Arrangements
