Former ASDP Managing director receives 4.5 Year Prison Sentence

Jakarta

The 4.5 year prison sentence received by the former Managing Director of PT ASDP, Ira Puspadewi (IP), in the case of the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara (JN) by PT ASDP was widely highlighted by the public. KPK emphasized that the investigation of the case had been carried out based on the sufficiency of the evidence.

“This case is not the case we are looking for. This case is based initially on the results of the BPKP audit. The results of the audit were given to us that in the results of the audit there was the possibility of fraud, there was the possibility of a criminal act,” said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the Corruption Eradication Commission Asep Guntur Rahayu at the KPK’s Red and White Building,South Jakarta,Monday (2025/11/24 23:30:07).

The Corruption Eradication Commission explained that there were a number of violations committed by the convicts in this case. First, the Corruption Eradication Committee mentioned that there was a unilateral decision made by the board of directors regarding the acquisition of the ship.

Asep explained that the convicts were responsible for changing PT ASDP’s internal regulations. This change creates relaxation in the business cooperation (KSU) requirements leading up to the KSU between PT ASDP and PT JN.

“That on March 6 2019, it was ratified to change Directors’ Decree Number 35 to Directors’ Decree Number 86. So the existing Directors’ Decree Number 35 was changed to Directors’ Decree Number 86,” said Asep.

“The change in Directors’ Decree Number 35 to Number 86 aims to simplify the implementation of the KSU.”
