KT Hosts AX Seminar in Daejeon for Chungcheong Businesses
Regional businesses in South Korea's Chungcheong provinces are shifting toward artificial intelligence integration through a new B2B seminar series led by KT Corporation.
The event drew approximately 150 representatives from major companies and institutions across Daejeon, Sejong, South Chungcheong, and North Chungcheong. The gathering focused on practical AI execution strategies tailored to regional industrial environments, particularly manufacturing and defense.
Global Tech Giants Present Industry-Specific AI Strategies
Major domestic and international cloud and AI enterprises joined KT to present operational use cases across seven separate sessions. Speakers addressed how companies can implement AI agents, cloud architectures, and data platforms directly into their daily workflows.
- KT: Demonstrated manufacturing-specific AI requirements, deployed solutions, and the company’s Cloudflex service designed to match distinct customer environments.
- Microsoft Korea: Outlined AI utilization strategies specifically aimed at boosting manufacturing productivity.
- Databricks Korea: Presented methods for connecting enterprise data and institutional knowledge to accelerate artificial intelligence adoption.
- AWS Korea: Detailed cloud migration case studies focused on modernizing the defense industry.
On-Site Consulting and Regional Expansion Plans
Following the presentation sessions, KT and its global partners operated a one-on-one custom consulting clinic. Specialists reviewed individual company data systems, current workflows, and specific operational hurdles to map out concrete technical deployment paths.
“AI 도입 필요성에는 공감하고 있었지만 실제 현장에 어떤 기술을 어떻게 적용해야 할지 구체화하는 게 어려웠다,” said Kim Gi-yeon, CEO of Prairie Schooner, noting that reviewing varied application examples helped clarify internal implementation directions. (Translation: “While I agreed on the need to introduce AI, it was difficult to figure out which technologies to apply to actual sites and how… By examining various AX application cases, I was able to examine in detail the application direction suitable for our company’s work environment.”)
The Daejeon seminar follows similar regional programs previously launched by KT in Gyeonggi and Busan. The company intends to continue expanding these on-site outreach efforts to identify actionable digital transformation projects for regional businesses.
“기업마다 보유한 데이터와 시스템, 해결해야 할 현장 과제가 다른 만큼 각 기업의 환경에 맞는 AX 실행 방안이 중요하다,” said Park Sang-won, senior vice president and head of KT’s AX business division. (Translation: “As each company has different data and systems it holds and different field tasks to solve, AX execution plans tailored to each company’s environment are important.”) Park added that KT will actively support client execution alongside its industry partners.
