Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn Embrace a Colorado Retreat

The longtime couple finds solace and a different pace of life away from Hollywood’s spotlight, strengthening their bond and family connections in the mountains.

In the ever-shifting landscape of Hollywood relationships, Kurt Russell, 75, and Goldie Hawn, 80, stand out as a remarkable exception. Together since 1983, the couple has cultivated a relationship known for its enduring strength, and closeness. Increasingly, they are drawn to the tranquility of the Colorado mountains, a retreat that offers more than just a second home—it represents a different way of life.

A Different Life in the Mountains

Kurt Russell recently shared with Fox News Digital his family’s deep connection to Colorado. “What I like best is that [Goldie] really likes it in Colorado,” he said. Their son, Wyatt Russell, 39, also resides there with his family, allowing the couple to enjoy frequent visits immersed in nature. “I would like to be there more often. It’s a completely different life there,” Russell explained, expressing his desire to spend as much time as possible in the mountains.

The couple’s Colorado home is an impressive log cabin on a ranch in Old Snowmass, a property they acquired early in their relationship. Russell described it as “a substantial, beautiful log cabin on a ranch,” telling the Wall Street Journal that waking up to the mountain views is a particular luxury. This contrasts sharply with their other homes in Los Angeles, Palm Desert, and Fresh York.

Family Ties and a Mountain Legacy

The appeal of Colorado extends beyond Kurt and Goldie. Their son Wyatt, his wife Meredith, and their sons Buddy, 5, and Joseph, 2, have also relocated from California. The Aspen abode also serves as a gathering place for the entire family, including Goldie’s children with ex-husband Bill Hudson, Oliver Hudson, 49, and Kate Hudson, 46, as well as Kurt’s son Boston Russell, 46, with ex-wife Season Hubley, especially during the holiday season.

Finding Inspiration in the Wilderness

This deep connection to nature is now influencing Russell’s function. His role in the series “The Madison,” a spin-off of “Yellowstone,” allows him to draw on his experiences and passion for the outdoors. He reflected in an interview with Men’s Health, “At some point you ask yourself if you’re going to live the life you aim for to live or if you’re just going to talk about it.” The series’ portrayal of a long-term, stable relationship also resonated with Russell, mirroring his own enduring partnership with Goldie Hawn.
