Jeff Hiller, Mia Yamamoto, and Shirley Raines to Lead 2026 LA Pride Parade

Los Angeles Pride has announced its theme and grand marshals for the 56th annual celebration, set to take place on Sunday, June 14, 2026, in Hollywood. The theme for this year’s event is “Rise With Pride.”

Grand Marshals Announced

Emmy-winning actor and comedian Jeff Hiller will serve as the Celebrity Grand Marshal. Civil rights attorney Mia Yamamoto has been named the Community Grand Marshal, and the late activist Shirley Raines will be honored as the Legacy Grand Marshal.

Event Details

The LA Pride Parade will begin at Sunset Boulevard and Highland Avenue, proceeding north to Hollywood Boulevard, east to Cahuenga Boulevard, and then looping back to Sunset Boulevard. Pride Village will be free to the public and will stretch along Hollywood Boulevard from Vine Street to Gower Street, featuring local vendors, nonprofit tables, and multiple stages of programming. The event will be televised live on ABC7.

About the Grand Marshals

Jeff Hiller is best known for his Emmy-winning performance on the HBO comedy “Somebody Somewhere.” He has also appeared in “American Horror Stories,” “30 Rock,” and “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.” Hiller released his memoir, “Actress of a Certain Age,” in 2025 and is currently developing television projects with Zachary Quinto’s production company.

Mia Yamamoto is a transgender Los Angeles-based criminal defense attorney and civil rights activist. She has dedicated decades to fighting for civil rights in California and was named “Criminal Defense Attorney of the Year” by the LA County Bar Association in 2002.

Shirley Raines, who passed away in January 2026, was the founder of Beauty 2 the Streetz and a well-known humanitarian and activist in Los Angeles’ Skid Row community.

“Rise With Pride” – A Call to Action

According to Lawrence Carroll, CSW Board President, “‘Rise with Pride’ is more than a theme, it’s a responsibility.” The Christopher Street West Association, the nonprofit behind LA Pride, emphasizes accessibility, sustainability, and innovation, rooted in service to the community. The parade will be hosted by Gio Benitez along with ABC7 anchors, and reporters.
